LAKES COURSE

Built in 1988, the Lakes, at 3542 yards, is the longest of our three nines. Formerly known as the "Conway" nine, the fairways are more wide open than the others, with the greens having more subtle breaks than on the Valley or Oaks. The Lakes has one of Southern California's 18 toughest holes. The 234 yard, par 3, all carry over water, was voted one of SoCal's 18 toughest by Southland Golf Magazine.

Hole #1 - A very difficult starting hole. A long dogleg left with the fairway running away from you make this a great driving hole. Be careful of OB left, but not so careful that you end up in the bunkers on the right side of the fairway. The downhill second shot always plays shorter than the yardage, with lots of extra roll if you land short. The huge green is well bunkered. Be careful not to go long if the pin is up front.
